Webinar

Addressing Transportation Barriers for Older Adults and People with Disabilities

Please note: This webinar has already occurred and archived webinar materials are available here.

Have you ever tried to help an older adult or person with a disability find transportation? Did you find it difficult to identify the right resources in your community?  If the answer is yes, then join our next webinar!  The National Aging and Disability Transportation Center receives calls and emails every day from hospital social workers, case managers, housing coordinators and others who do not coordinate rides, but are trying to help their clients overcome transportation challenges that impact the support services they do arrange. This webinar is intended to help participants understand how to tap into some of the resources that might be available locally to navigate transportation. Best practices will be shared by Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) staff, including how the ARC uses technology and outreach to community social workers and the general public to share transportation information and resources.

Speakers include:

Mary Blumberg, Program Manager, Strategic Planning and Development at the Area Agency on Aging, Atlanta Regional Commission

and

Patti Szarowicz, Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC) Information Counselor, Atlanta Regional Commission.
