How New Information and Scheduling Technologies Support Mobility Access for All
Please note: This webinar has already occurred and archived webinar materials are available here.
This webinar is part of a larger NADTC webinar series focused on Transportation Information and Assistance.
For many older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers who need transportation, simply finding out about the mobility options available in the community may present an insurmountable obstacle. Such information is often scattered among several organizations, requiring numerous phone calls to piece together the complete picture. Join the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC) at 2pm EDT on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, for a webinar discussion of how communities can address the challenge of providing better access to comprehensive transportation information.
Our presenters are Will Rodman and Dan Berez, both with Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates. Will and Dan conducted research on this topic, published in 2016 by the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NHCRP) as Report 832. During the webinar, information will be shared on optional approaches communities may adopt for linking transportation consumers to rides and offer examples of different community approaches. Will and Dan will also discuss an example of how the Report 832 “toolbox” was applied to a current planning project in the District of Columbia.
When you register for the webinar, you are encouraged to pose a question or make a comment about the topic. We will use these as the starting point for our discussion. We hope you will join us!
