The National Aging and Disability Transportation Center held a virtual National Convening on September 1, 2021 to share highlights from our National Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Survey of older adults, younger adults with disabilities and caregivers from historically marginalized and underserved communities across the U.S. The meeting provided an opportunity for the public transportation, aging and disability experts who attend to ask questions and share their insights and recommendations related to the survey and NADTC’s Transportation Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative. We believe this meeting is critical for guiding our next steps in documenting the transportation experiences of this target population as well as promising approaches in the public transit and human services transportation arena.
