ARCHIVED – Dementia, Caregiving & Transportation Webinar

Posted on May 24,2018

On April 25, 2018, the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center hosted a webinar that showcased a particular community’s approach to bringing together dementia and caregiving groups on the one hand, and transportation providers on the other, for information exchange and dialogue as a template for other communities.

This webinar is an extension of collaboration among NADTC, Dementia Friendly America  and Dementia Friendly Prince George’s County, Maryland to conduct a Dementia, Caregiving and Transportation Forum in December 2017. The Forum was designed to identify challenges and opportunities related to transportation needs of individuals with dementia and their care partners. A secondary purpose was to serve as a model for other communities who may want to explore transportation issues in their own locales.

View and listen to the webinar.

Speakers:

Greg Link, Director, Office of Supportive and Caregiver Services, U.S. Administration for Community Living
