2022 National Meeting – Rider and Provider Perspectives on Transportation

National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC) Diversity, Equity and Inclusion National Meeting: Rider and Provider Perspectives on Transportation

In an ongoing effort to shine a light on transportation challenges that specifically impact diverse older adults, people with disabilities and caregivers, NADTC hosted a National Meeting in the fall of 2022, convening transportation stakeholders to discuss transportation diversity, equity and inclusion.  Attendees heard presentations from NADTC staff who shared highlights from the fifteen virtual focus groups and two transportation stakeholder meetings that NADTC convened during the spring. In addition, focus group facilitator, Kiana Parker, a disability and transportation advocate from Seattle, Washington, shared her perspectives on the importance of hearing the voices of all riders in transportation planning.
