The report describes accessible design elements that apply to BRT systems from both the regulatory perspective of the ADA and the concept of universal design.
Volume 1 provides guidance and possible solutions for incorporating accessible design elements necessary to meet or exceed ADA accessibility requirements. Also identifies accessibility issues common to BRT systems.
Volume 2 contains ADA compliance checklists for BRT facilities design and construction. The checklists are based on the current ADAAG requirements.
